Chances: A Flowing Font for Creative Campaigns

It’s 9 PM on a Thursday, and the team is finalizing the visuals for a product launch. The client wants something fresh, something that feels personal yet professional. I open up the design file, scroll through the mockups, and then it hits me—Chances. This handwritten font has been quietly waiting in my library, and now it’s the missing piece.

Chances is a cool and flowing handwritten font that adds a human touch to any design. Its style is relaxed but intentional, with soft curves and subtle variations that make it feel authentic. It’s not too ornate, not too casual—it lands somewhere in between, making it versatile for a range of creative projects.

Real-World Use: Instagram Posts and YouTube Thumbnails

For a recent campaign, we used Chances on a series of Instagram posts promoting an online course. The font worked well as a headline, giving each post a friendly and approachable tone. It paired nicely with a clean sans serif for the body text, creating a balanced visual hierarchy.

On YouTube thumbnails, where space is limited and first impressions matter, Chances stood out without overwhelming the viewer. The font’s natural flow made it easy to read at small sizes, and its unique character helped the thumbnail stand out in a crowded feed.

Brand Consistency and Visual Hierarchy

When building a campaign, consistency is key. Chances helps maintain a cohesive look across different platforms. Whether it’s a webinar banner, a social media graphic, or a landing page header, the font reinforces the brand’s personality without being distracting.

Its readability on mobile screens is impressive. Even when scaled down for a preview or a thumbnail, the strokes remain clear and legible. This makes it ideal for fast-scrolling feeds, where users often glance at content rather than read it in detail.

Best Suited for Short Headlines and Decorative Titles

Chances shines in short headlines, callouts, and decorative titles. It’s perfect for campaign labels, logo-style text, or display fonts that need to grab attention. However, it’s not the best choice for long paragraphs or dense information. In those cases, a more structured typeface would be more effective.

For instance, when designing a sale announcement, we used Chances for the main headline and paired it with a simple serif font for the details. This combination created a warm, inviting look that resonated with the target audience.

Practical Font Pairing and Design Assets

Font pairing is essential for a polished design. Chances works well with a variety of styles. A clean sans serif like Montserrat or Poppins can balance its organic feel, while a complementary script font can add depth to a more elaborate layout.

When using Chances in digital ads or email banners, it’s important to check the included styles, alternates, and ligatures. These features can enhance the font’s appearance and make it more adaptable to different design needs. Also, ensure the font supports the languages you’ll be using, especially if your campaign targets international audiences.

Commercial Licensing and File Formats

Before incorporating Chances into client campaigns or branded content, always verify the commercial licensing terms. Make sure the font allows for use in ads, merchandise, or digital products. Check the file formats available—usually OTF or TTF—and confirm that they’re compatible with your design software.

For a recent Pinterest campaign, we used Chances on a set of quote graphics. The font added a personal, handcrafted feel that aligned with the campaign’s aesthetic. It was easy to adjust for different image sizes and backgrounds, whether light or dark.
